Bare & Brow is a brow and wax studio in North Bethesda. The menu is built around brows, facial hair removal through threading and waxing, and body waxing for the underarms, bikini and Brazilian areas.
Brow services start with cleaning and or shaping, followed by an Aloe Vera massage and a cooling treatment meant to calm redness and sensitivity. The studio also offers brow tinting as a separate service or as an add-on, and a Signature Brow Sculpt, sometimes called a brow lami, which uses a specialized chemical solution to straighten and set brow hairs. The studio notes that this treatment is non-invasive. It is recommended no more often than every eight weeks, and brow threading is typically suggested every two to three weeks.
For body waxing, the studio uses a hypoallergenic soft wax that is free of rosins, perfumes and dyes. Bikini and Brazilian waxing are suggested every four, six or eight weeks, depending on how quickly hair grows back. Cheeks are threaded only, because of sensitive skin.
Booking is by appointment, and a credit card on file is required to reserve any service. Hours are Tuesday through Friday, 11 AM to 5 PM; the studio is closed Monday, Saturday and Sunday. Clients have a 10-minute grace period, and later arrivals may be rescheduled or cancelled with a 50% fee. Cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment carry the same 50% fee, and no-call, no-show appointments are charged 50% and block future booking. Changes can be made by texting 240-203-6292 as early as possible. Packages are sold for brazilian, bikini, underarm, lip, chin and brow services; pre-purchased services are booked on the services page, and credits apply at checkout. The chin and lip three-packs each require a $35 deposit.
According to the studio, it uses current techniques and products with the aim of strong results for each client.
