Banana Peels Studio

Banana Peels Studio has been operating in Dover, New Hampshire, since 2016 and is woman-owned. It is located in a suite on Washington Street, and its work centers on individual skin care sessions.

Facials are the core of the menu, offered in 45, 60, 75 and 90-minute lengths. The studio describes the 90-minute facial as its most popular. A facial can include scalp massage, cleansing, exfoliation, facial massage, a mask, and a hand and arm massage, with gua sha, facial rollers or Celluma LED light therapy added when they suit the client. Products come from the Live Botanical, Mountain Rose Herbs and Yang Face lines, and the studio describes its facials as all-natural. Clients are offered a mini water, a snack and tea afterward.

Reiki is available alongside the facial and light therapy services. The studio serves women and gender-diverse clients, and it describes itself as LGBTQIA+ and BiPOC friendly. It does not serve cis men or clients with bearded faces.

Booking is by text or email, and appointments are offered Tuesday through Friday. The studio is accepting new facial clients but not new waxing clients. A $25 fee applies to cancellations made the day before or the day of an appointment.

Treatments are tailored to each client's skin condition after the therapist assesses it, with an emphasis on teaching clients about their own skin care.
