The spa says it began about twenty years ago with the aim of offering European-inspired treatments suited to life in Southern California. It has operated in Chula Vista since 2003. Lorena and Jean-Michel Balensi own the business, which sits near the Chula Vista Nature Wildlife Center, East Lake, the U.S. Olympic Training Center, Coronado and downtown San Diego.

The treatment menu centers on repairing the effects of sun, stress and environmental exposure on aging skin. Facials come from Aveda, Eminence Organic, Epicuren, HydraFacial and MicrOxy, along with a group of Celebrity Facials. The boutique sells skin care products, and Eminence products are also available online.

Massage, body care and peels round out the menu. The body options include a Vichy Shower, a hydrokinetic water massage on a waterproof table with several shower heads, and a body scrub built around it. Peels range from enzyme and Rose de Mer peels to chemical peels of several depths.

Packages combine several services. La Dolce Vita is two hours at $210 and includes a Mimosa Champagne Facial and a Chocolate Vichy Shower scrub. Pamper Yourself is two hours at $160 and includes a Collagen Facial and a Swedish massage. Custom packages are available on request, and gift cards and package gift cards are sold.

The spa says it was voted Best Facial by Spa Week and received two World Luxury Spa Awards in 2025, for Best Unique Experience and Best Luxury Boutique Wellness Spa in North America. The home page shows a 4.96 rating from 11,792 reviews, and the membership page describes the location as a hidden gem in San Diego.

Treatments are meant to repair damage that aging skin has taken from sun, stress and environmental factors, with each visit tailored to the client.
