Bailey Brooke's Salon Macon Suite 25

Bailey Brooke's Salon has two locations: a studio at Studio 130 on Ashford Dunwoody Road in Dunwoody, and a suite at 5429 Bowman Road in Macon. The salon describes itself as a premier hair salon for color, balayage and extensions. Both locations are open Tuesday through Friday from 10AM to 7PM and Saturday from 9AM to 5PM, and are closed Sunday and Monday. Color is the main focus. Balayage is hand-painted freehand and done without traditional foil, which gives a soft, sun-kissed look that grows out gracefully and suits blending gray. Highlights are offered as a lightening service the salon says protects the hair. For a touch-up of new growth only, a single process color can be used as a demi color, a permanent color, or a toner that deepens blonde highlights.

Cutting services include bobs, pixie cuts, layers, texturizing for volume and razor cutting. Hair extensions are applied by micro-linking beads to attach wefts of 100% natural human hair. Extension services are priced after a consultation, and a nonrefundable deposit is needed to order matched hair.

Treatments include keratin, a smoothing protein treatment for frizz and unruly curls, which the salon says is formaldehyde-free, and Olaplex, a bond-building treatment for repairing and strengthening hair. The salon's own description of its keratin treatment as the best and safest on the market is its claim, not an independent finding.

The salon works with color and lightening products that are vegan, paraben-free and sulfate-free, and not tested on animals. Its lightener and color products contain protein additives intended to rebuild the hair cuticle during processing.
