Azarra Salon & Wine occupies the Harmon Building in Tacoma, a former furniture manufacturing plant more than a century old, and remnants of the Harmon Factory remain throughout the space. The salon describes itself as a home for creative, entrepreneurial professionals. Staff members work for themselves, and each technician has a private room, while shared common areas are used for processing and shampooing.

The building is entered from the Dolly Roberson Lane side, formerly Commerce Street, where four assigned parking spots sit on the west side, or from the Pacific entrance. From Dolly Roberson Lane, take the elevator down to the second floor, which is the third floor of the building; from Pacific, use the steps or elevator up to the second floor, which is the first floor. Evening clients can use the security box at either the Pacific or Commerce entrance to be buzzed in. Cars parked in other businesses' assigned spots may be towed.

The wine side of the business sells bottles selected by the salon's staff from around the world and from Tacoma. Shelf wines are priced affordably, with the most expensive bottle at $30, and rosé is stocked year-round, which the salon says makes it one of the few wine stores in town to offer it all year. A sample of the featured wine of the day is poured in the salon, and gift certificates are available.

The salon hosts three wine tastings a year, in spring, autumn, and at a December holiday event. Tastings carry no admission charge, and featured wines are 10% off on the day of the event.

Hair care services include cuts, Cut Express and quick styles for short hair, blowouts, formal styles, color retouches, full and partial highlights, balayage, ombre and hair painting, Elumen color, keratin smoothing, and a three-step restorative treatment. New clients can book a Cut & Style New Client appointment, which allows extra time to get to know the salon. Clients book through the Booker platform or by calling (253) 752-1519.

Operates as a shared space for independent creative professionals, with each stylist working in a private room.

Exposed brick, seismic retrofitting and visible ductwork give the converted factory space an industrial feel.
