A haircut is by appointment and opens with a consultation of about 15 minutes covering hair history, curl pattern and styling preferences. New clients complete an intake form about their hair history and goals before a stylist begins. Every cut, styling, color and treatment includes a double shampoo, using shampoo and conditioner chosen for the client's hair and soft water. Clients are asked to arrive with minimal product, air-dried and detangled hair, and no clips or ponytail holders.
Color is also by appointment. New color clients need a free consultation one to three days before the appointment. Color is done with Goldwell Professional Hair Color, and options range from natural-looking color and root retouches to balayage, highlights, double process and bold fashion shades.
Treatments and extensions round out the menu. The salon advises a haircut every three to five months and a salon treatment every two to three months, with root retouches every four to six weeks. Bebonia clip-ins are the only clip-in extensions the salon offers, and a consultation is required before installation. The salon states it is a Green Circle Salon, that it recycles up to 95% of its waste including hair clippings and color tubes, and that its EcoHeads tools reduce water use by up to 65%. Ouidad, Innersense, Bebonia and other products are sold in the salon and online.
Cuts use a combined carving-and-slicing method inspired by Ouidad rather than a single branded cut. The salon describes each cut as two haircuts in one: an exterior shape for style and an interior carve into the natural curl pattern.
