The business was founded by Isata Sannoh, who started it out of a commitment to healthy hair, scalp care and overall wellness. The philosophy centers on the scalp as the starting point for hair health.

The setting is calm and quiet, and each client's appointment time is kept for them alone. Offerings range from relaxation-focused head spa sessions and corrective scalp work to loc care, natural and heat styling, a men's scalp service, and a children's service for ages 7 to 12. The salon does not offer energy-based practices such as crystals, chakra balancing or kundalini work.

Hours are Monday through Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM, with Sunday closed. Booking requires a non-refundable deposit of $100 or $50 depending on the service, with the balance paid at the visit. Rescheduling needs at least 48 hours' notice and cancelling needs at least 24 hours. Cancellations inside 24 hours are charged half the service fee, and no-shows are charged in full.
