Ashlyn Bausman founded the studio to make room for more than hair. The work centers on color, cuts and extensions tailored to each client, with an emphasis on communication and consistency. The studio aims for every client to leave with a good experience, an honest assessment of their hair and a stylist who has a plan. The overall style leans California-inspired, and the studio accepts all hair types, curl patterns, lengths and colors. New clients, or anyone unsure what to book, can fill out a form and a salon coordinator replies within 48 hours. Returning clients book through the online system. Stylists vary in experience, so the salon matches each request to the right level. Color appointments begin with a full consultation, and reaching a goal shade may take more than one visit. Service charges can shift from one appointment to the next depending on the result wanted after the stylist consults with the client.

Cancellations made more than 48 hours ahead are free. Cancelling sooner costs 50% of the service, and cancelling within 24 hours costs the full amount. A no-call or no-show is charged in full, and arriving more than 15 minutes late forfeits the appointment with a 50% charge. Booking is blocked after more than two cancellations, and no refunds are offered. Gift cards are available. The studio does not offer facials, massage, double process blonding, permanent straightening, waving or curling, kids cuts or fashion colors.
