Services are priced by consultation, so the salon does not list prices on its site. Cancellations or changes need 48 hours' notice, and late cancellations and no-shows are charged $100. Free street parking is usually available nearby, and two paid lots inside Ironside by the Tesla charging stations can be paid through the Pay by Phone app. Hours are Tuesday to Friday 10am to 7pm and Saturday 10am to 5pm, with the salon closed Sunday and Monday.

The salon describes its signature haircuts as styles found only at Arvel, and women's cuts are finished with a blowout. Balayage is hand-painted by master stylists, and highlights are planned to create blonde, lived-in color. Hair color, including all-over color, root touch-ups and gray blending, is offered by consultation, with an ammonia-free option for root touch-ups. Color correction is also available, and color services are finished with a gloss.

Extensions are offered in three methods: I.B.E sew-in, tape-in and keratin K-tip. The hair is natural, unprocessed human hair color-matched to each client. Kérastase hair treatments and keratin anti-frizz treatments are offered, and a certified trichologist guides the hair-health plans, though the salon does not name the trichologist. Updos, events and house calls are also available by consultation.

Each service begins with a consultation, and extension placement and the amount of hair are chosen to protect the client's own hair.
