The salon was owned for nearly a decade by proprietresses Angelisa Farmer and Kelsey Quinn. Tessa Hongosh Ingrassia, who joined the team in 2019 as a Salon Coordinator and later became Salon Director, is now the owner.
The salon is part of the Summit Salon system, which it calls a teaching salon company. Its stated goal is to improve the industry one person at a time by passing skills on, so that salons stay strong for future generations. Educators work with newer Hair Artists on teaching, training and developing their skills, and many team members are Redken Certified in Haircolor, Design and Finishing.
New guests are encouraged to book a complimentary consultation, which can also be requested by direct message on social media. Pricing depends on the level of artist and may vary with hair length, density and the total look wanted. Starting prices run from $18 for a bang trim or edge-up and $60 to $100 for a haircut, to $80 to $105 for all-over color and $150 to $175 for full blonding. Guests should arrive 15 minutes early to complete forms, since late arrival may shorten the service or require rescheduling. A 24-hour cancellation notice is required, and a $50 fee applies after a missed appointment. Children under 10 may visit only for their own scheduled appointment.
Services are non-refundable and retail sales are non-refundable. Haircare exchanges are allowed within two weeks with proof of purchase, original packaging and unused, unopened items, and Halocouture purchases are final sale. Guests with concerns can contact the salon within 5 days of a visit to discuss refinements with their artist, and refinements are free when scheduled within 10 days of the original reservation. A haircare loyalty program gives 10% off future retail purchases after $250 in in-salon retail spending, and the referral program gives both the referring guest and the new guest $20 off the next service. Gift cards can be bought by phone in any amount.
The salon places its artists on the Summit Salon level system, which reflects education, experience and demand, and works to pass skills on to newer artists.
