Arewa Salon is a full-service hair salon in Dallas. The braid menu is the largest group, running from feed-in braids starting at $40 to bora braids starting at $350, and includes knotless, box, boho, French curl, passion twist and mermaid styles, with mermaid braids offered in human hair only.

Outside of braiding, the salon offers silk pressing, hair trims, shampoo services, wash and go styling, a full hair treatment package, and natural hair work such as twists, stitch braids, pre-parting, and a virgin relaxer for natural hair moving to relaxed. Wig services cover styling a wig either dropped off or in person, wig installs, crochet installs, custom wigs made from a client's own bundles, and wig reconstruction. Take-down services are priced separately for cornrows, crochet braids, wig installs, sew-ins and braids.

Appointments can be booked by phone, through the online booking system, or in person. Each one requires a deposit of $15 or $30, paid online when scheduling. Deposits cannot be refunded or passed to someone else. A single reschedule is possible with at least 24 hours' notice, and the deposit can then be applied to a new booking made within 7 days, depending on availability. Clients have a 15-minute grace window. Arriving after it brings a $20 late fee, or the visit must be rebooked with a new deposit. A client who has neither arrived nor made contact 20 minutes after the start time is recorded as a no-show.

Each visit begins with a consultation. Clients should arrive with clean, dry hair or book a shampoo service. Braid extensions are offered in colors 1, 1B, 2, 4, 27 and 30, and colors are not mixed; other colors require clients to bring pre-stretched braiding hair, with no discount for doing so. Curly pieces for boho, goddess and bora braids are not included in the price. A limited amount of braiding hair is included with braid services. Tools are sterilized between clients. Children under 12 are not allowed in the salon or eligible for services, and guests are kept to a limited number.

Payment rules depend on visit history. First- and second-time clients pay the balance by cash or Zelle, since credit cards are not accepted for that balance. Third-time and repeat clients may pay by card, cash or Zelle, with full payment due at the time of service. Card payments in store carry a 2.9% plus $0.30 fee, and prepaying online can incur transaction fees of up to 5%, so in-store payment is preferred. Gratuities are not included in prices. The salon describes its Most Booked services as its most sought-after offerings.

Braid sizes follow a standard size chart as a general guide, and the final size can vary with head size and hair density.
