Alter Ego with Tai is a private salon suite where each appointment is one-on-one, and the studio is the client's alone for the visit. The suite is located inside Phenix Salon Suites at The Shoppes of Cinnaminson on Route 130 South.

Brow work is the core of the menu. Alter Ego Brow Wax & Sculpt is priced at $24 and includes an optional complimentary brow fill-in using Prestige brow products. The Deluxe version at $55 adds three masks: a hydro-jelly for redness, an under-eye patch, and a four-step lip mask. Two bundles pair services together: the Wax & Stain Bundle at $60 combines the sculpting wax with the Hybrid Stain, and the Brow Lamination Bundle at $110 includes the signature wax and stain. Brow lamination uses a chemical solution to straighten and lift brow hairs so they can be shaped and fill gaps; it is also called Brow Lift or Brow Perm. A skin test is recommended before a lamination appointment. Brow henna, hybrid stain and tint are also offered, though prices for those are not listed.

Facials are customized 60 or 90 minute sessions built around each client's skin concerns and goals, priced from $155 to $200. Two lines are used: Jan Marini, and ProCell Therapies, which combines lactic and mandelic acids, brightening ingredients and antioxidants. ProCell uses microchanneling with a fine-needle device to deliver stem cell serums into the skin. Facial treatments are described as addressing acne, anti-aging, hydration and luminosity.

Lash extension full sets come in Classic, Hybrid, Soft or Full Volume, Wispy and Mega Volume styles, priced from $145. The lash lift and tint with filler is $150 and lifts and curls natural lashes using a filler treatment. Makeup and glam services range from everyday looks to bridal makeup, and facial waxing is available for hair removal.

Alter Ego also offers in-person, hands-on Brow Lamination training for professionals. The course is one-on-one and includes a one-month mentorship, business fundamentals, a kit, and a certificate of completion. Clients should reschedule at least 48 hours ahead to avoid a cancellation fee of 50% of the appointment price, and contact lenses should not be worn for any lash enhancement service.

Appointments are kept private and one-on-one, with a licensed esthetician handling brow, lash, skin and makeup services in the same suite.
