The studio is run by its owner, Lishon, who gained hands-on experience in natural hair salons and salon suites before opening. Hair integrity, hydration and long-term hair health guide the work, and the studio uses salon-grade products focused on moisture and repair. Clients who are unsure what to book can start with a Hair Health Consultation, and a personalized hair care consultation and a treatment consultation are also offered. Treatment services are only booked as add-ons to another service, and a treatment consultation is required before booking them.

Booking requires a non-refundable deposit that is applied to the final balance on the day of service. Deposits are paid online through the booking site, and cancellations must be made at least 48 hours ahead to keep the deposit; same-day cancellations and no-shows forfeit it. Debit cards, credit cards and cash are accepted. Clients should arrive with protective styles fully taken down; takedown is not bookable online and needs a call or a note with the booking. Children are accepted for select services if they can sit through the full appointment, and parents are asked to call first. Same-day appointments are offered when available, which can be checked on the booking site or by texting the studio.

Every appointment includes a professional shampoo and conditioner, with a detox treatment added when needed. Clients who book through the studio can have hair sourced for their installs by texting 8 to 10 days ahead and paying a non-refundable hair retainer that goes toward the hair cost. The LIS Loyal Rewards program gives one point for every $80 spent, with points redeemable for discounts and a complimentary add-on treatment, and points expire after 18 months of inactivity. Returns are limited to defective products reported within 48 hours of delivery or pickup, and open hair bundles, worn or installed hair, and open care products are non-returnable.
