Owner Alessandra Pulizzi began her career as a haircutting specialist at an AVEDA salon in South Florida, where she focused on cutting for her first five years. She then moved into dimensional color and hair extensions, working for several years in high-end commission salons, and relocated to Virginia in 2017 before launching her own business.

The salon is located inside MaryLy Studio. Clients can use reserved garage parking at no cost and with no time limit, or use nearby street parking off Omohundro, which also has no time limit. Garage and city street parking with a two-hour limit is also available at no cost. The salon describes its atmosphere as relaxed and high-end.

Services are grouped into blonding packages, blowout packages, color packages, haircuts, hair extensions and smoothing treatments. Blonding packages range from a face-framing service to a full blonding service for maximum brightness, and the higher packages add root coverage and grey coverage. Color packages include a gloss for toning existing color, a root touch-up with blowout, and an all-over color with custom haircut and blowout that provides grey coverage.

Hair extensions are offered in wefts, K-tips and combline, and the owner has launched her own extension line, Glo Hair Extensions. Extension clients must attend an in-person consultation before booking. On-site bridal and special event hairstyling is also offered.

Services are customized to each client, with consultations used to plan color and extension work.
