A haircut includes a consultation, cleansing, conditioning and the cut, with time to talk through options and learn how to style at home. Color services always begin with a consultation and are booked by phone, text or email rather than online. Final color prices can shift based on the stylist's recommendations for the result you want. New client color appointments and color appointments over four hours require a 50% deposit.

Education runs through the whole team. The salon funds ongoing training, brings in educators from other areas, sends stylists to classes around the world, and holds team education every two weeks to develop and share techniques. Stylists move through levels from Protégé to Master based on experience and education. Licensed apprentices train at the salon alongside Master Stylists before working on clients' hair or color.

The salon is open Tuesday through Saturday, with Sunday hours as well, and is closed on Mondays for education. A credit card number is required to hold an appointment and is charged only for cancellation fees or when a client asks to pay by card. Cancellations made more than 24 hours ahead carry no fee; later cancellations are charged half of the scheduled service, and no-shows or no-calls are charged the full amount. Each ticket includes a small Green Circle recycling fee and an education fund fee, and card payments carry a 3% fee. Parking is available in a small lot directly behind the salon and a larger lot behind the property on Concord.

Education comes first: the salon treats ongoing training as part of the work, and it aims for clients to leave understanding their hair better and feeling confident in their look.
