The salon has three locations: San Antonio at 9910 W Loop 1604 N, Suite 108; Brownsville at 3341 Pablo Kisel, Suite P, where hours are Tuesday to Friday 10:00 am to 7:30 pm and Saturday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, closed Sunday and Monday; and McAllen at 3300 W Expy 83, Suite 1250, which the homepage also calls the Palms Crossing location. Booking is available online on a mobile-friendly page, and the business also offers eGift cards in $25, $30, $50, $100 or custom amounts.

Color services include a full color bar with all-over color adjusted to the client's needs, including grey coverage or a root touch-up, starting at $175 and excluding foils. The Root Bar is a shorter root touch-up for solid color or grey coverage, usually suited to four to five weeks of regrowth. Balayage, teasylights or traditional highlights with root melt and root shadow take about four hours and start at $195, and a face frame with money piece is a separate service at $175. Between highlight appointments, The Glow-Up uses a toner, shine shot and hydrating masque.

Keratin and smoothing options include Color Lock and Smooth, an express keratin treatment the business says locks in color for up to four weeks, plus a Brazilian Blowout semi-permanent protein treatment for frizz and KERATHERAPY, which is offered in Brazilian Renewal and Extreme Renewal Crème de Cocoa versions. Pricing for the smoothing treatments depends on hair length, texture and density. The salon describes KERATHERAPY Brazilian Renewal as the most advanced keratin smoothing treatment available today and says its KERATHERAPY treatment costs less per application than its major competitors and produces up to 75% fewer fumes than most competitors; these are the salon's own claims.

Policies are straightforward. Appointments cancelled or rescheduled at least 24 hours ahead carry no fee; later cancellations and no-shows are charged per service booked, at $100 for color and chemical services and 50% of the price for other services. Clients arriving 10 or more minutes late may have the service cancelled, rescheduled or adjusted, with the full cost still due. The salon does not offer refunds on services or returns on products, and concerns about a service must be emailed to info@afterblowdrybar.com within three days of the transaction. The salon will try to honor stylist requests but cannot guarantee a particular stylist.

Afterholic is the monthly membership. Pricing varies by location and by local area. Members receive 10% off products in store, two blowouts a month, one birthday blowout that can be used from five days before to ten days after the birthday, and 50% off extensions added to a blowout. Membership requires photo ID and a date of birth at sign-up, can be cancelled at any time in store or by email, and unused blowouts must be used within 45 days of cancellation. The Square loyalty program earns one point per dollar spent, with rewards at 500, 1,000 and 1,500 points, and higher tiers at 1,000 and 1,500 points that earn more points per purchase.

The salon builds its menu around the blowout, with add-on masques, scalp treatments and glosses that can be combined with it.
