Aesthetica Skin Care

Aesthetica Skin Care is a skin care spa in Mokena, a practice built around treating skin conditions that have an inflammatory component, especially acne, rosacea, pigmentation and aging. Treatments are non-invasive and do not involve medicines, lasers, fillers or Botox. Each plan is shaped around the client's skin type, skin chemistry and goals, and the aesthetician makes the treatment recommendations based on the client's skin care goals and skin health.

Facial options include alpha and beta hydroxy acid treatments, dermaplaning, superficial to medium depth chemical peels from Circadia and PCA Skin (including TCA, Jessner's, retinol and AHA/BHA peels), the RezenerateTM NanoFacial, the Hydrafacial and light therapy, which has an optional add-on. Corrective, maintenance and preventative treatments usually run 30 to 90 minutes. Waxing uses hard or soft wax depending on the area of the body.

The Acne Care program is non-prescription and suits all ages and skin types. Each package combines customized treatments, TeleAesthetic video consultations, products and at-home care. Skin consultations cost $55 and typically take 45 minutes to an hour with Meghna Patel. Clients living elsewhere can book an initial TeleAesthetic video consultation for $65 and follow-ups for $50. The salon also sells Omnilux red and near-infrared light devices for at-home use, which the site describes as FDA-cleared.

The salon is open Monday through Thursday from 9am to 9pm, Friday from 9am to 6pm, and Saturday from 9am to 2pm, and is closed on Sundays.
