Advanced Beauti is a private studio built around one-on-one attention. Jen founded it and runs it as a quiet alternative to a busy salon floor, so each client has the studio's attention for the whole visit rather than sharing a room with a rotation of other appointments.

Visits start with a conversation about what the client wants and any questions they have, and Jen then lays out a plan for their look. Hair extension clients begin with a consultation to assess hair type, texture and color, since pricing varies by color, length, texture and style. A deposit is required for extension installs and is credited toward the service, and its amount depends on the cost of the hair.

The studio offers brows, lashes, hair color and hair chemistry, extensions, skin care, waxing, tiny tattoos and piercings. Lina handles fine-line and tiny tattoos along with piercings, and piercings come with aftercare instructions and high-quality jewelry in placements that include the lobe, helix, tragus, nostril and septum.

Hours at the main studio are Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 7:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. Clawed by Maiya is open Tuesday and Thursday 9:15 am to 4:00 pm, Wednesday and Friday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, and Saturday 9:15 am to 4:00 pm, and is closed Sunday and Monday.

Jen's longer-term plan is to open a full-service family salon where the studio's specialists work together under one roof.

Appointments are planned around the individual, starting with a conversation about goals and questions and then a tailored plan.
