ACE Collective was set up to address the whole person, bringing hair care and healing services into one space on Lincoln Avenue. Owner Nicolena Alushin works there as a hairstylist and ceremonialist, and the team includes hairstylists, a barber and makeup artist, and a licensed massage therapist.

The salon aims to offer affirming care that takes gender expression into account, in a setting meant to feel safe and comfortable. Hair services are priced hourly and inclusively, and the business is gratuity free. Each stylist sets their own rates, so haircut prices vary, with haircuts listed from about $45 to $130 and new client and transformation haircuts from $110 to $180.

Booking works differently from a front-desk salon. There is no receptionist, so each stylist manages their own schedule, and each appointment request is approved by that stylist, who confirms by text or email or suggests other options. New clients fill out an intake form covering hair history, medications and supplements, allergies and recent at-home color. A text consultation is enough for most visits, while corrective color requires an in-person or consultation step before booking. Haircuts are for established clients, and new clients book a New Client Haircut. Many online bookings require a deposit of $25 to $100. Texting the salon line at 304-365-0134 is the easiest route, and the owner can help if a stylist cannot be reached.

The space is entry level and wheelchair accessible, but its restrooms and shampoo bowls are not. Standalone energy healing takes place in a private treatment room on the second floor.
