Abel Dermatology has been in practice since 1996 and operates from a fourth-floor office in Annandale, reached through a large atrium in a multi-floor building. The practice covers both medical and cosmetic dermatology, from skin cancer evaluation and removal to cosmetic concerns. Care is built around a customized plan for each patient, and the options range from non-invasive and minimally invasive treatments to surgical ones for the face and body.

New patients and new cosmetic patients can complete their forms online before a visit. Office hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00am to 4:00pm, Friday from 8:00am to 1:00pm, and Wednesdays by appointment. The office is closed on weekends.

Mohs surgery, a tissue-sparing method of removing skin cancer, is usually completed in a single outpatient visit. It is used for basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma, and sometimes melanoma.

On the cosmetic side, the practice offers Botox and other muscle relaxers, Juvéderm, Radiesse and Kybella, plus ResurFX, IPL photorejuvenation, laser hair removal with a Lumenis LightSheer Diode Laser, laser spider vein removal for the legs, and Ultherapy for the brow, chin and neck. Juvéderm appointments run from about 15 minutes to an hour, and a full-face Ultherapy session takes about 45 to 60 minutes.
