Abby Hair

Abby Hair is a private studio at 400 Highland Ave in Salem, MA, located in studio 14 inside Sola Salon Studios. Each appointment is dedicated to a single client, so the visit is unhurried and not a busy salon floor.

Abby's professional start was in Boston, where she trained and worked as an assistant at Avanti Salon on Newbury Street. She then took advanced training at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in London, and she has kept learning through courses in New York, Montreal, Los Angeles and San Francisco. For 25 years she worked at Moore & Moore Hairdressing in Marblehead, where she held the title of Master Stylist. She has more than 40 years of experience as a hair stylist.

Every service begins with a detailed consultation covering the client's hair, daily lifestyle and preferences. The work centers on precision cutting and color that suits the client, with an aim of a timeless, wearable result rather than trends followed for their own sake. Color options range from grey coverage and tone enhancement to a consistent dimensional base, and foil highlights from soft dimension to bolder shades. The goal is hair that keeps its shape and movement between visits.
