The salon was set up to give textured-hair clients a safe space where experience, care and technique come first. Its stated mission is care for curls, coils, color and extensions, and it describes its team as highly trained and continually evolving texture experts.

Prices vary by the level of the provider, which is stylist, designer or master. Extension work and curly cutting are handled only by designer- or master-level specialists. Color is charged individually, and styling is booked as an add-on to the appointment. A consultation is required before extension work and chemical treatments such as relaxers and color. Consultation charges are billed separately and are not included in the price of the service.

Appointments are booked through GlossGenius. A deposit is required for every appointment and goes toward the final cost. Changes made at least 72 hours ahead keep the deposit available, while later changes forfeit it, and deposits are neither refundable nor transferable. There is a 15-minute grace period for late arrivals, and anyone later needs stylist and manager approval, so calling early helps. Payment is by cash, major debit or credit card, Zelle or Venmo, and checks are not accepted. Buy Now, Pay Later is available in person for bookings from $50 to $4,000, with approval needed before the appointment.

Guests should know the house rules: outside guests and children are limited to those receiving a service or approved by management, outside food is allowed only in reception, waiting and drying areas, and drugs and alcohol are not permitted on the premises. Arriving under the influence can mean a cancelled service, a forfeited deposit and the full service charge.

The salon operates as a full commission salon and encourages team members to take on platform and freelance work, teaching, mentoring and contracted work. It also does community outreach and offers textured-hair education to other salons and independent stylists. It accepts applications for stylists and guest service associates, and it invites people to apply as models for styling, education and creative work. Models agree to being photographed and filmed and are scheduled as needed.

Professional education keeps the team current on trends and hair science, and the salon puts a strong emphasis on education for clients and other stylists.
