Wendy Sissel

Wendy Sissel has been a hairstylist for over 40 years and works with all hair types, with a particular focus on curly hair. She has a strong following, which she partly attributes to that work.

Her training is ongoing. She has attended Vidal Sassoon Academy courses every year since 2006, in cities including Santa Monica, Chicago, San Francisco, Toronto, Boston, Beverly Hills and London, most recently in 2026. Other training includes a two-day Rezo cut and highlighting class for curly hair in San Francisco in 2021 and a Bumble and Bumble course in New York City in 2010.

She also attends courses by instructors she admires throughout the year to add new techniques and perspectives to her work. She has completed the Barbicide Covid-19 certification course.
