Vivian S. Yee, MD, FAAD

Vivian S. Yee, MD, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologist at Long Island Dermatology. She completed a combined B.S./M.D. program at the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, graduating summa cum laude as valedictorian, and then earned her M.D. at Stony Brook School of Medicine. USA Today named her one of the top 20 students in the nation and placed her on the All-USA College Academic First Team. Her research includes a Fulbright Scholarship year spent on research and clinical work at the Sydney Melanoma Unit in Sydney, Australia, and skin cancer research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. She received a Young Investigator's Award to speak at the 3rd International Sentinel Node Congress, held in Yokohama, Japan. Her internship in Internal Medicine was at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, followed by a dermatology residency at Weill Cornell New York Presbyterian Hospital. She is an affiliate physician at New York Hospital of Queens in Flushing and at Elmhurst Hospital. She teaches medical students, residents and peers, takes part in community skin cancer screenings and gives radio interviews on skin health. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the Chinese American Medical Society.
