Universe co-owns Scarlet Salon and works as a senior stylist who cuts and colors hair. She completed the apprenticeship program at Festoon Salon and went on to work as a stylist and educator. She has over a decade of experience and has advanced training through Vidal Sassoon, Sally Rogerson, Oribe, Davines and Deva Curl.

Her work centers on creative cuts, razor cuts, dry cuts, shags, mullets and bobs, with a particular focus on curly hair. She works as a curly hair educator and is listed among the salon's curly hair cutting specialists. Every client receives a custom cut and color. She is available Thursday and Friday and charges $225 per hour.
