About
Tricia Brown, MD, owns the practice and works as a dermatologist. She earned her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine, then completed her dermatology residency at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, which covered medical and surgical dermatology as well as cosmetic procedures. She is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology, is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and has written manuscripts on diagnosing and treating skin disease for medical journals.
Much of her time now goes to patient care for medical skin conditions. She has a particular interest in the aesthetic side of dermatology and has trained extensively in cosmetic skin treatments during and after residency. She has injected Botox since 2000, several years before its cosmetic approval, and has years of experience with dermal fillers, including the period before hyaluronic acid fillers reached the market. She keeps up with updated training courses.
She removes cysts in the office, and she removes smaller lipomas there and offers lipoma injections. For cysts with existing scarring, she recommends a full excision with sutures, decided at the initial evaluation. For chronic conditions she prefers a detailed discussion of options and makes the decision with the patient, and she leans toward natural approaches that follow each patient's wishes.
She has been named Best Dermatologist in The Woodlands in Living Magazine readers' votes from 2018 through 2026. Living Magazine also named her The Best Dermatologist in 2013, 2014 and 2016. Other awards include the Patients' Choice Award from 2008 to 2011, the Doctors' Choice Award in Dermatology from 2008 to 2010, and recognition as one of America's Top Dermatologists by the Consumers' Research Council of America from 2006 to 2011 and in 2013.
