Travis Shaw, MD

Travis Shaw, MD is Chief Executive Officer of Synergy Face + Body by Travis Shaw, MD, leading both the Richmond and Midlothian offices. He has held the full-time CEO role since July 2012. He is an ENT and facial plastic surgeon who has practiced in the Richmond area since 2009. Since July 2009 he has also worked as a contract medical legal expert, and since October 2017 he has been an adjunct professor at the VCU School of Business. He received a B.A. in East Asian Studies from Washington and Lee University, studying there between 1987 and 1991. He completed his residency at the Medical College of Virginia, where much of his training centered on head and neck cancer surgery at Massey Cancer Center. He is double board-certified in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and in otolaryngology, and he is a certified instructor for Botox and Juvéderm who trains other injectors. His own procedures include rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, chin implant surgery, deviated septum repair and torn earlobe repair. He has performed cleft lip and palate surgery in Belize with the World Pediatric Project, and he volunteers facial reconstruction for survivors of domestic violence through FACE TO FACE: The National Domestic Violence Project, as well as surgical care for uninsured patients through Access Now.
