Jessica Kernodle

Jessica Kernodle is a board-certified physician assistant (PA-C) and aesthetic injector at Synergy Face + Body by Travis Shaw, MD. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and Biology from James Madison University, completed in 2008, and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Shenandoah University, completed in 2010. She has more than 12 years of experience as a PA across emergency medicine, women's health and aesthetics, and she started injecting in 2017. Her cosmetic injection training is broad, with advanced work in neurotoxins and dermal fillers, which are her main specialties. She continues to sharpen those skills at conferences and in hands-on cadaver anatomy courses focused on injecting. She aims to build lasting relationships with patients. She belongs to the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants. According to the practice, her peers named her one of Richmond Magazine's Top Docs in the physician assistant category, and Our Health Magazine recognized her for Best Bedside Manner.
