Thomas G. Liszka, MD

Thomas G. Liszka, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon at Ballantyne Plastic Surgery in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he has practiced since 1996. His work centers on cosmetic plastic surgery, and he began a private cosmetic practice in 1993. He has more than 30 years of experience in plastic surgery. Before moving to Charlotte, he was a faculty member at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine from 1993 to 1996, where he worked with the South Carolina Craniofacial and Cleft Lip and Palate Center, the Breast Care Center, and in teaching medical students and surgical residents.

His training began at Duke University, where he earned a bachelor's degree summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa in 1981. He received his M.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 1985. He then completed a general surgery internship and residency at the Medical College of Virginia, serving as chief resident in general surgery in 1990. His plastic surgery fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital ran from 1990 to 1993, and he was chief resident in plastic surgery in 1993. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

He is board-certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and belongs to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the North Carolina Plastic Surgery Society. He is listed in Cambridge Who's Who in Medicine.
