Tamara Housman, MD

Tamara Housman, MD, practices as a dermatologist and Mohs surgeon at Vision Dermatology. She received her medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Kentucky, did an internship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and completed a dermatology residency at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC.

She went on to a fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology at the University of Washington in Seattle. She is double board certified in Dermatology and in Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery, holds diplomate status with the American Board of Dermatology and the American Board of Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery and the American Academy of Dermatology.

Before joining Vision Dermatology, she founded Providence Dermatologic Surgery in Portland, Oregon, and served as its medical director. She has completed more than 21,000 Mohs surgeries. She has published over 29 peer-reviewed journal articles and has contributed portions of a medical textbook. She is a member of the North Carolina Medical Society and the North Carolina Dermatology Association.
