Sumie Kuroshima

Sumie Kuroshima is an independent hairstylist at Circle Salon in Kensington, CA. She has worked as a hairstylist for over 20 years, including 16 years in the US, and began her US career at Eclipxe Hair Salon in the Berkeley area, where she worked independently for 14 years before moving to Circle Salon. Before coming to the US, she worked in Tokyo for seven years.

She completed training programs in both Japan and the US. In her work she provides every haircut personally, from shampoo to finish, in a one-on-one setting. She aims for styles that suit each client's hair texture, face and head shape, and that are easy to style and last.
