Steven M. Hamilton

Steven M. Hamilton is the plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Hamilton Clinic in Houston and is board-certified in plastic and reconstructive surgery. He serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, a long-standing appointment, and completed his initial training there. He went on to four further fellowships, covering advanced hand surgery, microsurgery and aesthetic surgery. He trained under Dr. Bruce Connell, a facelift surgeon whose teaching shaped his career, and with internationally recognized surgeons who pioneered current aesthetic procedures. His early microsurgery research contributed to an implantable computer interface for treating facial and other paralysis. He also contributed and illustrated two chapters in Dr. Connell's last book, published in 2016, and has written many articles and book chapters on plastic surgery. His practice focuses on aesthetic facial and body surgery, including facelifts, brow lifts, eyelid surgery, facial implants, stem cell and fat grafting, aesthetic nasal surgery, and breast and body enhancement. He lectures at Houston residency programs and at Texas Plastic Surgery Association meetings, and has spoken internationally on aesthetic facial surgery and facial volume correction. For body contouring, he evaluates and tailors each patient's surgical plan and offers saline or cohesive gel silicone implants selected for the individual. He prefers VASER ultrasound-assisted liposuction for higher definition results. He received the Chairman Award at the annual Academic Research Council of heads of major academic plastic surgery national programs. Houston plastic surgeons voted him one of the top doctors in his field, he is listed in Top Doctors of the U.S., and the Best Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons book recognizes his artistic ability and surgical expertise. Texas Monthly has named him a Super Doctor for consecutive years.
