Sophia Ngo

Sophia Ngo owns Lashes by Sophia and works there as its lash artist, with over 20 years of experience in lash work. Her training started with a BA in Economics with a minor in Sociology from the University of California, San Diego, in 2004. She completed an apprenticeship at Beyond Beauty Eyelash Extensions in 2006, the same year she earned an eyelash extension certification there, and she trained at Paul Mitchell, The School Costa Mesa, in 2008. She is a licensed cosmetologist.

Her focus is natural lash styles, and she creates custom designs in classic, hybrid, volume and mega volume extensions. She also performs eyelash lifts and perms. She has taken multiple courses in lash lifting, earned a volume extension certification from My Brand Lashes in 2014, and completed a lash lift and perm certification from MYU Beauty in 2017. In 2023 she trained in Lash Lift Revolution 3.0 through The Beauty House Training Center. She continues to learn to improve her lash skills.

Sophia has also picked up certifications beyond lashes, including eyebrow threading and Sleek Brows in 2015, brow henna from Elleebana in 2018, lip blush from Seduire Academy in 2019, ombre powder brows with Effortless PMU Academy and a needle course with Mara Bokhan in 2020, and body sugaring training with Sugar + Sand in 2024. She also holds blood borne pathogens and Barbicide certifications. She was featured in Voyage LA magazine in October 2021.
