Sommer Hood

Sommer Hood is the Functional Medicine Lead and an APRN-CNP at the 33rd Street clinic, where she leads the functional medicine consultations. She earned a BSN from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2016 and graduated from the University of South Alabama nurse practitioner program in 2022. Most of her nursing career was in the emergency department, including two years as a flight nurse, and she later practiced as an emergency nurse practitioner before moving into functional and integrative medicine. She has focused on root-cause functional medicine for the past two years and is proficient in GI-MAP and DUTCH testing.
