Soheil Simzar, M.D.

Soheil Simzar, M.D., is a double board-certified dermatologist and Mohs micrographic surgeon at Advanced Dermatology & Cosmetic Care. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of California, Los Angeles, earned summa cum laude, and a Doctor of Medicine degree from UCLA. He trained in internal medicine at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center, then completed a dermatology residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where he served as chief resident of dermatology. Shortly after finishing residency he became a clinical instructor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, teaching medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology.

His work centers on diagnosing and removing skin cancers, including Mohs micrographic surgery, which he is board certified in as a subspecialty and was among the first to achieve. He also performs cosmetic reconstruction using skin flaps and grafts, and has completed several thousand reconstructions. On the cosmetic side, his training covered neuromodulators, fillers, sclerotherapy, scar treatments and laser surgery, and he practices cosmetic dermatology alongside his surgical work.

He has received the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery Preceptorship Award from his Mohs training, has authored publications, and has presented at national conferences. He holds fellowships with the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Mohs Surgery and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
