Soheil Simzar, M.D.

Soheil Simzar, M.D., is a dermatologist and Mohs micrographic surgeon at Palmdale Dermatology, specializing in cosmetic dermatology and skin cancer surgery. As a Mohs surgeon, he diagnoses and removes skin cancers and performs cosmetic reconstruction using skin flaps and grafts. According to the practice's website, he has performed over several thousand skin reconstructions. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from UCLA, summa cum laude, and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. He then received his Doctor of Medicine at UCLA, completed an internal medicine residency at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center, and completed a dermatology residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where he served as chief resident. His training included a preceptorship in cosmetic and surgical dermatology with Drs. Mitchell Goldman and Kimberly Butterwick, and a fellowship covering neuromodulators, fillers, sclerotherapy, scar treatments and laser surgery. He holds double board certification in dermatology and is among the first to earn board certification in the Mohs micrographic subspecialty. He also holds fellowships with the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Mohs Surgery and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. According to the practice's website, he received the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery Preceptorship Award. He serves as a clinical instructor of dermatology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, teaching medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology to residents and medical students. He has also authored publications and presented at national conferences as a researcher.
