Shirley

Shirley works at Spa Boutique 2Go as a massage therapist and licensed esthetician. She spent twenty-two years in finance before moving into massage. Her education includes a bachelor's degree in accounting and an associate degree in occupational studies from the Swedish Institute of Health and Sciences. She also trained in a range of Western, European and Oriental massage methods and attended Atelier Esthetique Institute of Esthetics.

She is a New York State licensed massage therapist and a New York State licensed esthetician, and is a nationally certified therapeutic massage and body work practitioner. Her certifications include Brazilian wax specialist, microdermabrasion specialist, MicroCurrent specialist and PCA Skin Biology and Chemical Peel. She recently completed Vodder MLD certification.

Her specialty is integrative therapeutic massage, working on a chosen problem area while also addressing whole body stress relief. Outside the treatment room she volunteers with the Swedish Institute Sports and Event Massage Team, is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association, and advocates for continuing education.
