Sherrie Matthews works at Harper Salon on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles as an acupuncturist and herbalist. She began in magazines, working as a fashion editor for national fashion and celebrity titles, before moving into traditional medicine. She offers acupuncture and Acu-Facials, and provides counseling and treatment for menopause, fertility, weight loss, stress and insomnia. She also makes custom herb blends for hormone balance, and her skin care products are blended in small batches in Belize from seasonal flowers and herbs. She has studied Traditional Oriental Medicine in Nepal, Japan, Egypt, Bali, Vietnam, Thailand, China, Malaysia, India and Budapest. She belongs to the American Association of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine, the California State Oriental Medical Association and Acupuncturists Without Borders.
