About
Shelby Sells is the founding stylist, owner and Education & Creative Director of the salon. She trained at Paul Mitchell the School Austin, graduating in cosmetology in 2017, and earned a B.A. in Business Administration from Northwestern State University in 2016. She opened her first salon suite the week after graduating, built a clientele there over four years, and opened Layne & Co. Salon in September 2021.
She works in color, including blonding and highlights, and in cutting. Client reviews on the salon's site single out her blonde highlights, balayage and color work.
She holds Invisible Bead Extensions certification since 2020 and Elite Artist status since 2021, and served as an IBE Masters Business Educator from 2024 to the present.
