Shawntel Waajid

Shawntel Waajid owns and co-founded The Nappy Hutt with Jibril Waajid. She has roughly forty years of hair experience and works as an educator and national speaker, teaching loc care, braids and natural hair. She runs hands-on seminars for entrepreneurs and Black hair care courses for parents. Her seminars have helped stylists grow businesses worth six figures, and she has mentored more than 50 stylists in Savannah and across the country. She has been a lead instructor and stylist for Taliah Waajid and has taken part in events including the Taliah Waajid World Natural Hair Show, Bronner Bros, Kevin Kirk's Jam Session and Premiere. She also created the Shawntel Marie and Kings Solution grooming lines.
