Sharon M. Vogel

Sharon M. Vogel is founder and director of National Lymphatic Centers. She has specialized in lymphatic care since 1991, and she has more than three decades of work in the field. She leads a team of certified lymphedema therapists and works from the Hinsdale clinic.

She developed the Vogel Method of manual lymphatic drainage over those decades. Her work centers on manual lymphatic drainage, including the Vogel Method, complete decongestive therapy and post-surgical massage. Her education includes a bachelor's degree in biomedical science with an emphasis in nutrition from the National University of Health Sciences, where she was valedictorian, along with graduate study in biomedical science at Midwestern University and continuing education at Midwest Naturopathic Medical School.

In 2021 she launched The Vogel Institute of Lymphology, where she trains NLC staff and other licensed therapists in the Vogel Method through continuing education credits. She chairs the Illinois Chapter of the Lymphatic Education and Research Network. She was recognized as a Top Doctor in Chicago in 2022, was featured on American Health Report and Natural Awakenings Chicago, and was named a Women in Wellness honoree in 2021.
