Shannon Housley

Shannon Housley is the owner, artist and educator behind Housley Institute. She founded Housley Institute for Restorative Ink and Housley Institute Academy, and she is licensed through Hamilton County and the State of Ohio. She trained under Mandy Sauler and has more than 12,000 hours of tattooing experience.

Her work centers on 3D areola and hyper-realistic nipple tattooing for breast patients after mastectomy and reconstruction, along with permanent makeup, permanent eyeliner, paramedical tattooing and scar camouflage. She works closely with students. She now focuses solely on educating artists through the training academy in Sharonville, where she teaches 3D areola tattooing and permanent makeup courses.

Her training includes a 100-hour 3D areola restoration certification from the University of Penn Medicine in Philadelphia, a 3D Areola and Scar Camouflage certification from the University of Penn Medical Center, and an advanced hyper-realistic nipple certification. She also holds certifications in microblading, lip blush and permanent lash line enhancement, Li-FT saline removal, inkless stretch mark revision, scalp micropigmentation, Art of Scar Camouflage, Advanced Scar Camouflage and Dark Scar Camouflage, and a plasma lift certification from Prive Salon in Orlando, Florida. She holds Bloodborne Pathogens, Red Cross First Aid and HIPAA certifications and is registered for insurance with an NPI number.
