Scott Harris, MD

Scott Harris, MD is a board certified plastic surgeon practicing in Plano and serving Dallas. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and was formerly board certified by the American Board of Surgery from 1991 to 2001. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Dallas Society of Plastic Surgeons. He practices at the American Institute for Plastic Surgery and has more than three decades of experience in plastic surgery.

He graduated magna cum laude from Texas A&M University and earned his medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He completed a general surgery residency in Phoenix, Arizona, then a plastic surgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, followed by a fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center in comprehensive aesthetic and reconstructive training. He was trained by Dr. Frank Gerow. He has published in peer-reviewed medical journals and has lectured nationally and internationally on facial and body rejuvenation.

His specialties include breast augmentation, including revision surgery and implant exchange, and drainless breast procedures, which he has refined over the past 15 years. He performs liposuction and body contouring such as tummy tucks, body lifts and mommy makeovers, facial cosmetic surgery including facelifts, eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty and lip lifts, and complex reconstructive work such as post-cancer reconstruction, scar revision and reconstruction after trauma. He is also the founder and a partner of an accredited ambulatory surgery center.
