Sara Carter

Sara is the founder and owner of Maven + Grace and works as a stylist and color specialist. She began her career in 2003 and graduated from International Beauty School in Portland, Oregon. Her earlier work included salon styling, outside sales, brand education, and a role as a regional sales and education manager for a major manufacturer. She owned Platinum Studio in Salem, Oregon for 10 years before becoming owner of Maven + Grace in 2022.

Sara specializes in lived-in color, blonding and gray coverage. She has deep knowledge of hair chemistry, color theory and product performance, and focuses on helping clients and stylists understand the reasoning behind products and techniques. Clients come to her for regular cuts and color.
