Sakura Ito

Sakura Ito is a colourist and educator at the salon, based in New York City since 2010. She began her foundation in precision cutting and colour in Nagoya, and has worked in New York, Los Angeles, Honolulu, Atlanta and San Francisco.

Her work centres on lightening natural dark hair with brass-free results. She also teaches classes for hairstylists worldwide on her own approach to lightening dark hair. Seamless Brunette education is a new long course at $500. Flip Brunette covers colour correction on any base, including natural level 3 dark hair, and is offered as a long course at $500 or a short course at $300. Seamless Muted Blonde covers lifting level 1 to 5 canvases with a seamless gradient, and Seamless Light Brunette covers light brown results on levels 1 to 5 dark hair. Both are offered as a long course at $500 or a short course at $300.

Long courses have lessons of about one hour with detailed explanations of every step. Short courses are condensed sessions of 20 to 30 minutes covering essential techniques.
