About
Robert N. Tower, MD, practices as an oculofacial plastic surgeon in Portland, where he has run a private practice since 2010, and he holds an appointment as an Associate Clinical Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Oregon Health & Science University. His clinical interests include cosmetic eyelid and facial procedures, injectable treatments, and orbital and lacrimal surgery. He corrects lid retraction and performs revision surgery for people who are dissatisfied with an earlier blepharoplasty. Earlier in his career he served as Director of Oculoplastic & Orbital Surgery in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Washington School of Medicine and as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology there. His published work in plastic surgery journals covers eyelid surgery, hyaluronic acid fillers and periocular conditions, and he has described a brow lift technique that places incisions behind the hairline. He trained at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, completed a surgery internship at Greenwich Hospital, took his ophthalmology residency at Yale University School of Medicine, and then did an oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship at Oregon Health & Science University. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, is a Fellow of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and is licensed as a physician and surgeon in Oregon, Washington, New York, Connecticut and Texas.
