Robert Cohen

Robert Cohen is a board-certified plastic surgeon with an MD who practices in Beverly Hills, California, at Dr. Robert Cohen Plastic Surgery. He established a private practice in Scottsdale, Arizona in 2005, later opened a Beverly Hills office alongside it, and was board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 2006.

He began his training at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, where he earned top honors in surgery. He then completed a plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. During that residency he served as chief resident, published a textbook chapter, and spent three weeks on a medical mission to North Vietnam repairing children's cleft lip and palate. He finished with an aesthetic and laser surgery fellowship with Dr. W. Grant Stevens in Los Angeles, which was the first fellowship of its kind offered for a full year.

His clinical focus is breast surgery, including breast lift, breast reduction, breast implant removal, mastopexy with fat grafting, and labiaplasty, along with complex breast revision, explants and tuberous breast surgery. He is an expert in breast reduction and mommy makeovers. He also treats male breast procedures such as gynecomastia, performs abdominal liposuction, and does tummy tucks in Beverly Hills. Breast augmentation and fat grafting are also part of his work. He serves as a key opinion leader and consultant for Sientra and has consulted for LifeCell and Puregraft.

He belongs to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He has been invited to teach plastic surgeons about breast augmentation and complex breast revision, spoke at the ASAPS Experienced Insights in Breast and Body Contouring 2017 Conference in San Francisco, and addressed the fourth annual Advanced Aesthetic Live Surgery and Injections Course in St. Petersburg, Russia, in October 2016. He has performed thousands of cases and taught thousands of plastic surgeons around the world. His patients are women and men seeking cosmetic work, many coming from Los Angeles and farther afield.
