Rick Powers is a doctor of chiropractic and an acupuncturist at Fuse Medspa & Wellness in Avon. He attended New York Chiropractic College and later studied acupuncture after several years of chiropractic practice. He has practiced chiropractic in Connecticut for 20 years.
He has more than 17 years of experience in acupuncture. His approach combines a working knowledge of the body with principles from Chinese medicine, and he uses it to address a range of conditions. He began working with athletes in 2010, including MMA fighters, CrossFit athletes, and collegiate and high school competitors. He has recently started working with professionals in the music industry.
He walks patients through what is happening during treatment in a soothing way, so they can stay relaxed and at ease.
