Reshmi Kapoor MD, FAAD

Dr. Reshmi Kapoor started Brooklyn Dermatology to lift the level of dermatology care available in North Brooklyn. She is board-certified, holds the FAAD credential, and offers both medical and cosmetic dermatology. She studied as an undergraduate at Northwestern University, then trained as part of the first class at Northwell School of Medicine, where she finished first in her class, served as president of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, and earned a distinction in research. During medical school she spent a year at NYU studying dermoscopy of pigmented lesions. Her internship and dermatology residency took place at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Hospital. She has also worked at Northwell Health in an academic setting, practicing dermatology and teaching other dermatologists. Her clinical interests include acne, melasma, hair loss, skin of color and cosmetic procedures, with broad experience treating a range of skin tones and skin types. She takes time to walk patients through their conditions and treatment options. She is available for panels, podcasts, articles and media, as well as consultations on the clinical and business sides of dermatology. She was featured on the My DPC Story podcast, Episode 141.
