Rebecca Baxt, M.D.

Dr. Rebecca Baxt is a board-certified dermatologist and serves as Medical Director of BAXT CosMedical in Paramus, New Jersey, where she focuses on cosmetic and medical dermatology. She holds an M.D., an M.B.A. and the F.A.A.D. designation and reports more than 25 years in medical and cosmetic dermatology. She joined the Paramus practice in 2000, following part-time work in New York, and later opened a midtown Manhattan office serving patients who live or work in the city.

Her training began at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, where she also studied English as an undergraduate and completed pre-med requirements. She finished her dermatology residency at NYU, serving as chief resident. From 2000 to February 2019 she taught residents and medical students at NYU School of Medicine, including in a dermatology clinic for underserved patients at Bellevue Hospital. She also volunteers with the Bergen Volunteer Medical Initiative, a free clinic serving uninsured residents of Bergen County.

Her clinical interests center on acne, rosacea, skin cancer, Botox, facial fillers and laser treatments, and she lectures colleagues on managing acne and acne scarring. She sees children and adults of all ages and genders, including patients of many ethnic backgrounds, and has experience treating skin of color. At the practice she performs the non-invasive cosmetic procedures, including lasers, light-based treatments and injectables, along with medical dermatology for skin, hair and nails. All injections at the practice are done by her personally, not by a nurse or physician assistant. She is a certified trainer for Allergan, an AbbVie company, teaching injection technique for Botox Cosmetic, Juvederm, Juvederm Voluma XC, Juvederm Volbella XC and Kybella. She attends conferences and society meetings to stay current on new devices and procedures.
